Cuyahoga Falls officer struck by car
CUYAHOGA FALLS: A 29-year-old Akron woman was arrested Sunday morning in Cuyahoga Falls on a variety of charges related to drunk driving.
Kimberly Stumpf is accused of rear-ending a police cruiser at a traffic stop at Northampton Road and West Portage Trail. That impact jolted the cruiser forward, striking a police officer walking nearby. The officer was treated at a local hospital and released.
Stumpf was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain an assured clear distance.
